Personally I think these pieces of art are a pretty good deal at about $100. They’re each going to be a unique hand-made creation and are a good value considering their quality and price. –Teaternity

Hi Amanda, Just seen your comments. The artists are paid per tea bag that they paint but they are also employed in the work shop which produces the finished article. As everything is hand made including the painting of the wood/canvas and corking of the bases, packaging etc, it all adds to the cost. Needless to say there’s also the shipping and import duties involved in getting it to your country.
The company ethos is to employ people and that can only be done if nothing is mass produced!!
