As a high school sculpture teacher I am always looking to create assignments using recyclables.Have had students make jewelry out of rolled paper, old masking tape cores, paper clips. Love this, everywhere you look there are materials to use, just have to know how to look and thin outside the box.
Love it!

So much material so little time. Your designs are brilliant and the upcycling value always makes a new piece justified – exactly what everyone wants. Beautiful and inspiring.

I love the name! I would be proud to wear a KnitWit necklace.
October 29th, 2009 09:18
While beautiful, yes, I would have loved to have bought the original, un-altered needles! It’s hard to find sets of old bakelite/plastic needles in good shape these days (especially with interesting tops!), and I love working with them and collecting them.
Still, lovely pieces.
