Recycled Business Cards
I know a New Year filled with resolutions. How many of us resolve to make our businesses more successful this year? Well, my first idea was that I need business cards!! Here are the ones I’m going to buy which are printed on recycled cereal boxes, you can even see the wheeties or cheerios on the other side:

$70.00 for 100 cards at the United States Business Card Company
Other companies that offer business cards on recycled post consumer paper:

[...] I’m not the only one making Eco-res’s. Check out my buddy Liz’s of Great Green Goods, some blogging goals by Jeston Green, and the TreeHugger writer’s resolutions. Gotta good one of your own? The Worsted Witch is having an eco-resolution contest – and yes, there’s a prize! [...]

This is surely environmentalism at its worst – promoting clearly very poor products is hardly the way to encourage a more environmentally-friendly society.

Is it just me or is $70 for 100 cards seem a little steep?

We’re the only company online that offers 100% PCW paper to the consumer, but cereal boxes…come on…count me me! What a great idea. I’ll test on our machines, and hopefully be able to offer this as well. We’ll tell everyone who works for us to save their cereal boxes
$70 is steep…if it works we’ll be that price for you.

so any good place to go for good looking good quality business cards at a reasonable price?

I’m shopping for biz cards right now, and I really want to make a green choice.
I love the “skinny” card, but they aren’t available in recycled – although they do use half the paper…
$70 for cards printed on cereal boxes seems very high to me.
Or perhaps I should say it’s high enough to prevent me from considering them. Save your cereal boxes, get a paper cutter and have a stamp made.
Lindsay – why doesn’t your company offer a recycled paper skinny card? Less paper & recycled paper…

Ooops… Lindsay – just went to your site and saw the mini cards… cool.
