They remind me of a nursery rhyme my mom used to tell us, about three juvenile feline crybabies who only invested effort in locating their lost mittens after they were threatened with the prospect of no pie. So don&#8217;t lose your mittens, kiddies, because there is nothing more depressing than having to go without pie. Of course, since I grew up in a tropical clime, my then reaction was more, &#8220;OMG MITTENS??!!!&#8221; I still can&#8217;t pack a snowball that will inspire any whiff of fear.
