I loved the idea of reusing plastic bags/bottles. I am currently studying jewelry, but would like to stop using "bad" materials, and incorporate environmental friendly ones. Could anyone help me find out how to do that? Is there a website or a class that teaches how to transform discarded materials and give them new life?
I like looking at things like these bracelets, but will love to know how to make them...
thanks!

You can check out Mark Vaarwerk's website at: http://www.vaarwerk.com/. He lists a few sites that are selling his work. One in particular I ran across is an Australian store called Moose at:
http://www.shopmoose.com.au/artists/view/45

I hope this helps.

I am interested in finding out where the bracelets from recycled plastic can be purchased...Thanks in advance.

Lovely jewelry created from recycled plastic bags and shampoo bottles combined with sliver and gold. The rings are formed by winding layers of ordinary plastic bags around an inner ring made of silver or gold then fused. A great combination of materials giving thought and substance to the world around us.
