This lateral file is composed of “Eco Panels” that are made from recycled newspapers and formaldehyde-free soy-based resin. Another version of the panels are created from a unique bio-based material created from sunflower seed hulls. Furthermore, these panels are produced in a low-energy facility that consumes very little water and produces no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The frames are made of an anodized aluminum, which is 75% recycled metal. And apparently the whole unit is much lighter than the conventional version further reducing shipping costs and the associated environmental impact. Phew! There’s no end tothe environmental friendliness of this item!!
